clawd-madenci
A pixel Clawd mines, builds and blows up TNT above the prompt while Claude works.

clawd-madenci opens a small Minecraft-style pixel scene just above the Claude Code prompt while Claude works. Clawd walks a strip of grass and stone, breaks whatever stands in its way with a pickaxe, and switches to a different animation for each kind of tool Claude calls. You can take over for a few seconds with the number keys. It never calls the model, so it costs zero tokens.
“Madenci” is Turkish for “miner”. The README is in Turkish, and so is everything the mod writes on screen.
What it does
Each tool call gets its own scene, and a speech bubble over Clawd names what Claude is touching:
- Read, Grep or Glob: Clawd digs, and the bubble names the file or the search pattern.
- Edit or Write: Clawd stacks wooden planks behind itself, with the file name in the bubble.
- Bash: a TNT block appears ahead, flashes and explodes, clearing the blocks around it. The bubble names the command, such as
npm test. - Agent: a smaller helper Clawd joins in, and the two dig faster.
- WebFetch or WebSearch: Clawd hops along, with the site or the query in the bubble.
- Any other tool, MCP tools included: only the bubble changes.
- A failed call: a Creeper turns up and Clawd runs away.
- End of the turn: Clawd holds up a diamond and waves. Two seconds later the band closes.
A count of broken blocks rides next to the spinner, as · ⛏ 12 blok. The terrain, with its coal, iron, gold and diamond ore, is seeded, so you get the same world every time.
While Claude works, five buttons sit under the scene: 1 zıpla (jump), 2 left, 3 right, 4 kaz (dig) and 5 koy (place a plank). With the prompt empty, press a number and Clawd is yours for about five seconds, under a bubble telling you that you’re in control. Each press restarts the five seconds and each left or right press walks three blocks. Jumps have gravity and clear one block, and the blocks you dig count toward the total. The keys do nothing while TNT is lit, Clawd is building or a Creeper is chasing it, and an edit, a Bash command or a failed call takes control back.
Install
Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later.
claude plugin marketplace add selmakcby/clawd-madenci
claude plugin install clawd-madenci@clawd-madenci
The README gives the same two steps as /plugin marketplace add selmakcby/clawd-madenci and /plugin install clawd-madenci@clawd-madenci inside a running session. Send a prompt and the scene opens while Claude works. /clawd turns it off and on again; the choice is saved, and the mod starts on.
How it works
turn.start opens the band and turn.complete plays the ending; turns run by subagents do not open it. The scene is 10 rows high, drawn with half-block characters in truecolor, two pixels per row, and redrawn about 11 times a second. The README says it also works inside tmux.
To follow Claude’s tools it listens to the classic PreToolUse, PostToolUse and PostToolUseFailure hooks rather than wrapping tool.call, which, as a code comment notes, would freeze the animation and the buttons during a long Bash command. Every hook only watches and passes the call on unchanged: nothing is blocked or altered.
From PreToolUse it reads the tool name and the one argument the bubble needs: the file name without its folder, a Grep or Glob pattern, the program name of a Bash command plus its first argument when that is a short word, the host of a WebFetch URL, the WebSearch query, or a subagent’s description. The text is cut to 28 or 40 characters and only drawn in the bubble. From the two post-call hooks it reads only the tool name and whether the call failed, never the output.
It makes no network calls and no model calls. The only thing it stores is the on or off setting, in Claude Code’s plugin store on your machine. The world, the changes you make to it and the block count live in memory.
Limitations
- Everything on screen is in Turkish: the bubbles, the button labels, the spinner counter and the
/clawdreplies. The mod even adds Turkish case endings to file names, as inREADME.md'yi kazıyor(digging README.md). - In the Desktop app’s Code tab the README says you get one line of text instead of the scene; the code writes Clawd’s bubble and the block count there.
- The LICENSE reserves all rights. You may read the code and install the mod for personal use; copying, changing, redistributing or commercial use need the author’s written permission.
