orrery
Subagents orbit a sun above the prompt, faster while they stream tokens.

orrery draws your subagents as planets circling a sun above the prompt. The sun is the main Claude loop. Each running subagent orbits it at a speed set by its output tokens per second, so an agent that is streaming whirls and one that is waiting crawls.
What it does
- Running agents orbit on dotted ellipses in spawn order, each with a comet tail. The glyph gives the type: ◍ explore, ◆ plan, ◈ review, ● anything else.
- Finished agents settle as faint dots on the outer ring. Failed ones flash a red ✖, then dim.
- The sun flickers, and its corona breathes faster while the main loop streams.
- A legend beside the orbits names up to four agents with their task, type, elapsed time and tokens per second.
In the terminal the orbit field is four or five rows of braille redrawn at 30 frames per second. In the Code tab of Claude Desktop it is a night sky with a glowing sun and twinkling stars.

The band stays hidden until the session’s first subagent and lingers for five minutes after the last one finishes.
Install
Needs Claude Code 2.1.290 or later.
claude plugin marketplace add ersinkoc/claude-mods
claude plugin install orrery@kozmos
Run /reload-plugins or start a new session. Nothing shows until Claude starts a subagent. The ✕ hides the band, /orrery toggles it, and the choice carries over to the next session.
orrery is one of the 48 mods of KOZMOS, all in the same kozmos marketplace; kozmos@kozmos adds a /kozmos hub that lists them. If you want the numbers behind the orbits, hivemind shows the same subagents as a tree with tokens, spend and the tool each one runs.
How it works
orrery hooks subagent spawns for each agent’s task, type and model, every model request (turn.step) for its output tokens, and turn ends for how it finished. The speed comes from the output tokens of the last 20 seconds. While agents run it also reads Claude Code’s agent roster every two seconds to correct their status. It saves one setting, whether you hid the band, in the plugin’s store. It makes no network calls and adds nothing to the prompt.
Limitations
- In the terminal the band takes four or five rows above the prompt while it shows.
- It counts only output tokens, so a subagent busy running a long tool barely moves.
- The author warns that the mod API may change between Claude Code releases.
